Quran Learning: A Free, Multilingual Portal for Guided Quran Education

1. Project Background

Quran Learning is a Syntrix Systems product created to make structured Quran and Islamic education free and approachable. It serves children, adults, new Muslims and older learners, and it connects them with volunteer teachers who guide each student step by step.

2. The Challenge

Learners arrive with very different needs: a child starting the alphabet, an adult who wants to improve recitation, a new Muslim learning the basics of faith and prayer, or an older learner who needs large, clear text and a calm layout. The platform had to feel simple for all of them, work in English, Urdu and Arabic, and keep a teacher involved in progress, since learning to recite correctly depends on feedback from a person. It also had to stay free for learners, so it had to be light to run.

3. Our Solution & Approach

We designed a clear learning path of four stages, Foundation, Practice, Understanding and Mastery, delivered through 7 tracks, 22 levels and 87 modules. The tracks cover Quran reading, Tajweed, Hifz, understanding the Quran, Islamic studies, advanced Quranic studies and teacher preparation. A teacher sign-off step means the next lesson opens only after a teacher has checked what the learner has covered. Parents get a dashboard for attendance, progress and homework, with direct messaging to the teacher, and volunteer teachers can set their own hours and guide students level by level. The interface supports English, Urdu and Arabic, and uses short lessons, readable type and a calm layout built on Next.js.

4. The Results & Impact

The portal gives learners a clear route from the first letter to advanced study, at no cost to them, with teacher oversight at every stage. Families can follow a child's progress from one dashboard, and volunteer teachers have a simple way to share their knowledge. The structure, with levels and modules mapped to tracks, also gives the team a base that can keep growing as new courses and teachers join.
